About CharlieCard

CharlieCard is a durable plastic smart card with an embedded chip that stores value and/or a pass. CharlieCards are reusable and can be reloaded automatically — no more paper forms for administrators to fill out or monthly passes to distribute. CharlieCards save employees commute time, too — they simply tap their CharlieCard at the farebox or fare gate, and board.

Monthly Local Bus Pass and Monthly LinkPass are the two types of passes that will be available on CharlieCards as part of the new online Corporate Pass Program. Although Stored Value is not offered as part of the Program, your employees can use their employer-assigned CharlieCards for their personal Stored Value purchases.
